Star Wars Loose Canon

Star Wars explores uncharted territory with Andor, a very character-driven narrative in live-action. Its viewership is believed to be lower than The Mandalorian's and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but fans raved about this series's first season.

Chris Higgins, Zack Wildman, Storm Duper, and Nick Oswald discuss the best performances, characters, relationships, and planets from Andor and play a little quotes trivia. You won't want to miss this episode!

Zack Wildman returns to the show to share three amazingly spooky creepypastas along with guest Storm Duper from Faking Star Wars.

Our host Chris Higgins pitches a horror movie set in the Star Wars universe where in an alternate timeline, Obi-Wan is killed by Darth Maul instead of Qui-Gon Jinn. This change of events has significant repercussions for the Star Wars universe and leads the Jedi down a dark path.

Writers use character archetypes to help simplify and structure their narratives. They aid in emphasizing characters' various dimensions and streamline the plot when used effectively.

In today's episode, our hosts Chris Higgins, Zack Wildman, and Storm Duper discuss their favorite archetypes and how they apply to some of the biggest and more obscure characters in unexpected ways!

If Star Wars is (in)famous for anything, it's for its retcons. For better or worse, LucasFilm has changed the content, and we are not just talking about Legends. Listen as our hosts Chris Higgins and Zack Wildman discuss the most impactful retcons in the franchise and what they mean.

I think we take it for granted that so many millennials are fans of Star Wars even though we weren't alive when the original trilogy was released.

This episode examines how LucasFilm created so many fans out of Generation Y.

Mining on Kessel got you down? Storm Duper from Faking Star Wars and I got you covered.

It's time to stop working for the man and start working for yourself. Water mongering practically prints money and is so easy. Become a Death Star architect like Director Krennic! Provided you know how to avoid political sabotage, it can make you rich! You definitely won't be killed.

Welcome to a new series from Loose Canon, The Armies of Star Wars, where we dive into the military forces on both sides of the conflict from each movie trilogy.

There is so much going on behind the scenes when it comes to the third Star Wars trilogy, you could be forgiven for being confused about it. On top of that, much of the supplemental content surrounding the sequels isn't in the minds of many fans, for various reasons.

While you shouldn't be expected to read three books to understand what's going on, it certainly helps to do a little research in this case.

Chris Higgins and Zack Wildman have gone down the rabbit hole once again to discuss the political and military situation of the galaxy after the fateful battle of Endor.

Welcome to a new series from Loose Canon called the Armies of Star Wars where we dive into the military forces on both sides of the conflict from each movie trilogy.

Did you think you knew everything there was to know about the Empire and the Alliance because you watched the moves? Think again. There's a whole lot more beneath the surface that the movies don't show you.

In this episode, we discuss the origins of both the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. We also dive into how each side solidified its power, why the conflict started, and how they compared to previous and future iterations.

Welcome to a NEW series from Loose Canon called the Armies of Star Wars where we dive into the military forces on both sides of the conflict from each movie trilogy.

In this episode, we discuss the main features of the Separatists and the Republic armies and what their main strengths and weaknesses were. We also talk about the origins of each army, why the war started, and why the Republic (spoilers!) won the war.

There is also a fun back and forth with my guest, Zack Wildman, about the prequel trilogy in general.

Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars tv show told us much about the origin and life of the clones, but we have been left mostly in the dark about their decline, until now. The Dave Filoni-helmed animated show, The Bad Batch follows a small group of "defective" clones as they resist the new Empire, but this tale reveals much more than that.

Listen as we explore, Whatever Happened to Kamino and the Clones?
